With the constant 20% off coupons, and bare shelves, Fry's has to be circling the drain. The number of computer and monitors has been decreased so much, that one can only wonder why. Their creditors must not be extending them credit. Maybe all of... — read more
Topics regarding layoffs at Fry's Electronics
Just went there, only 2 cashiers, and lots of empty shelves, and rows in departments gone, like entire row of camera stuff, appliance area all open, and there are warehouse racks at this end of the building, used to be full of product, all empty. The... — read more
They do not check bags as you exit? What's Going ON?
Do you have a list of stores that Fry's is planning to close in 2019 and 2020. I have a full list of all stores they operated as of July 2019, but I would like to see if there is a list that has stores confirmed to close on it. Again, the list I am... — read more
Been noticing that the Tempe, AZ store has been getting more and more bare for the last 6 months or so. Finally did some research to find out why and found this site. I was there a couple days ago and it's really depressing. Every time I go there... — read more
Amazon is not too far from Fry's. Anybody notice they no longer guarantee two day shipping for Prime eligible items? And they started modifying their return policies. I had a rude awakening not long ago with an expensive item I wanted to return due... — read more

Any truth to this?
Been shopping here since it opened. Always thought we (local Sacramentans) were lucky to have 2 Fry's in our area (Sac and Roseville), but recently going in for a standard RCA cable to find baron shelving and a stock room of empty racks, I could... — read more
Most all the shelves were half empty. The employee I spoke to said it's gonna close before the EOY. Even the once motivated gestappo at the exit door didn't go thru my whole bag, just marked the receipt and gestured goodbye.
I literally had to do a double-take to make sure I wasn't in some post-apocalyptic movie. I'd say about 50% of the shelf space was empty....but they did have about 7 years stock of bottled water.
Not sure if someone has info on what stores are closing, what the plans are as it relates to real estate and what's the plan for layoffs and severance pay for Fry's employees.
The same is true in Palo Alto, CA, where nothing seems to be restocked and most shelves are getting close to 50% bare. I had a feeling something wasn't right with the business last year, when sparseness in the inventory, parking lot and customers in... — read more

Went to Fry's in Irving TX yesterday...always enjoy. Clerk said they haven't ordered in 3 weeks. Looked around store and noticed bare shelves. Have no place to go for tech stuff anymore. I'll order online at Amazon like everyone else, I guess.
The store is struggling to attract old and new customers. They are too slow to adjust to the changing time. Most younger generation (Millennials) would rather shop online like Amazon. Fry's store is way too big for its own good. Back in the... — read more
