There seems to be a lot of talk of an imminent strike. Think it's just both sides of the contract negotiations trying to bluff the other side?

HR hosted a couple "Resume Workshop" meeting this week. My cynical nature tells me this is because layoffs are coming, and HR wants to look like good guys.

Looks like voluntary seperation has been offered to majority of US employees with involuntary after. Any idea on what employee numbers will be after this?

Wednesday sent out the "voluntary separation" emails. I suspect the job market currently will result in few people taking that, save for the early retirement people. Is this just the prelude to forced layoffs?

161 laid off indefinitely....Back through 2008...1st shift operation as of now

565 in Waterloo, 300 in Ankine. 50 in Moline

"Three facilities were impacted in Waterloo. What happened in Waterloo was 90 were laid off at the foundry, 385 at the tractor factory and 90 at engine works.

Must have been just a rumor?

400 Waterloo 300 foundry give or take.

Roughly 50, will not be going back.
