Feb. 2019. Advisory across the country. They will never stop. Advisory is never KPMG’s favorite child. Looks like they have been doing the advisory layoffs every 2 years.

Just because we use the term "big 4" doesn't mean that they are in the same category. To be honest, working for KPMG or EY is like being om a minor league baseball team that doesn't even have a good pro team. Please understand this is not intended to... — read more

My roommate works for K and he\'s happy. He\'s working insane hours (he\'s on the audit side) but his clients are pretty cool and he\'s doing a bit of \'creative\' tax stuff so that keeps him happy - so, I\'d say the firm is cool. Also, they did go... — read more

The firm keeps making strategic mistakes - it continues to hire wrong people and often does not care about good performers. Attrition is too high anyway but with layoffs and similar moves we are cutting into meat.
it's hire/fire culture - when business is booming we overhire, when it goes down we fire people, and we are always late - we are lagging the trend. so do not worry, there will be layoffs but there will also be a lot of hiring, it's the nature of kpmg... — read more
