I was hit in the last RIF. They used the “position elimination” excuse which is interesting since they did a department reorg a month or so prior. Sent in my release form on Oct 2nd. Did not receive payment until the 22nd.

The WARN act requires companies with over 100 full-time employees to give workers 60 days notice of layoffs. Is anyone filing an EEOC claim?

It was a simpler time. I was just sitting here wondering if that actually happened. And wondering if it will happen again. I joined in, added “I didn’t even know we had a reply all button” to the melee. It was a career highlight for me.

How does optum pay out per diem weekly salary for time after the last day in office to separation date. Do they calculate an average?

Since I’m one of them, can we do an informal poll here and ask people what they appreciate and value most in a manager-employee relationship? What management traits make someone a good manager?

Was expecting to hear something today but apparently it was business as usual

Providers were told of a meeting today, just yesterday. Most were let go, others moved to other clinics.

All of Imaging gone in San Antonio and specialists.

There’s been no official communication. Nothing in the media either. We’re completely stumbling in the dark. Why? Do they want to make this even more tense than it already is? Our livelihoods are on the line.

With all of the Optum Lay offs and closing of wellmeds directly affected by UHG, has anyone gained more information into Wellmed layoffs or Carenet information ??

Most of us have been fed up with our jobs here, but we still need them. And it’s getting harder and harder to find something else. I truly hope everyone impacted today finds another job soon, ideally a better one, with a better company.

They laid off half the staff here this morning. The rest of us have our meeting at noon. And already laid off two clinics fully this am at 7.

That’s how it’s always been - the notices go out the day of the layoffs.

If you want it congrats. If you need your job and want to stay, I wish you luck and prayers. OT and OC look to be the ones getting it the worst.
