Incredible what this company puts on a stick and pumps up and down. Go back to sleep until you have something to talk about. Washing machine more useful than ricoh’s printers… better built and less expensive... — read more
Age discrimination lawsuit
From what I've been seeing and reading here, it seems that the latest Ricoh layoffs have disproportionately affected older employees. Can this be proven in court? Age discrimination is illegal and if there is even a small chance to hold this company... — read more
Where's my Tech is the nail in the coffin for service
With the launch of the WMT today, I've already applied for a few new jobs. A big part of this job is the freedom to work at your own pace, and as long as your calls get done & the customers are happy, you're free to do what you will. That's why we... — read more
Ricoh buying Fujitsu scanners… one person’s trash is something ricoh could sell.
Fujitsu shedding this piece of business to focus on growth and looking ahead into the a sustainable future… ricoh? Not so much. Ricoh basically a bottom feeder shopping for hardware tech at other companies’ garage sales. And it’s SCANNERS… ricoh... — read more
Xerox to start training to take Ricoh service calls.
Xerox services received notification of new training courses on how to take Ricoh service calls. This happened with Lexmark, then they had service train on the equipment. Not sure what this spells for Ricoh, it definitely sucks for us since we are... — read more
Can it go from bad to worse
In the last 2-3 weeks our field service team had 2 techs quit and find better paying jobs (no surprise there). Our service call volume was already high at that point as we never recovered from all the covid related job cuts and now we're drowning... — read more
Where's My Tech? How about Where's Our Money?
They just announced this baby sitting app for customers called where's my tech. The training video explicitly says that customers will be able to see where you live in the morning before you leave. This is insulting on so many levels. Most field... — read more
Getting rid of experienced employees is not a good idea
Contrary to popular opinion, getting rid of experienced employees will not solve all of the company's problems, especially not those that were created by this self-serving management. This was attempted before by many and it always ended in disaster... — read more
April cuts coming?
Does anybody know more about this?
VSIP again?
Heard an interesting rumor. Come September, Ricoh is looking to do another VSIP. Anyone else heard this?
Is Ricoh still shipping toner and parts to Russia?
I just see “devices” not being shipped. Can someone please define?
Rigid and old-school
Ricoh is stuck in the past. It still clings to the way things used to be done 'back in the day' and makes no attempts to keep up with the times. Micromanaging is still a favorite strategy, and everybody is more concerned with corporate politics than... — read more
Getting tired of hating Sundays because they lead up to Mondays
I hate my job so much that I'm now unable to enjoy my weekends properly. I can relax somewhat on Saturdays but come Sundays, the knot in my stomach starts to grow until work is all I can think about. I've been trying to find something new but so far... — read more
Question for long tenured employees...

What’s next?
So Ricoh is in a new fiscal year, what lies ahead? I am looking for the good and bad. Seems like mostly negative stuff on here so maybe someone can enlighten us without fluffing it up.
Ricoh prices
I have heard that Ricoh is losing deals everywhere because of pricing. I guess more layoffs will happen once they give all their business away.
Another K/M steal due to poor support.
Existing Ricoh customer in PA just signed for a new Konica Minolta solution. Reason for the move, poor customer support at Ricoh.
Being employed at Ricoh
Being employed at Ricoh equals no work/life balance because we keep losing people to layoffs and attrition and are expected to pick up their work. It also equals having to deal with a toxic work environment and incompetent managers daily, all while... — read more
Have you seen the new Ricoh video?

Does Ricoh rip off it's techs on car use
I left Ricoh a few months ago to go to work as a technician in a different industry. What I do now is very similar to what I did as a copier tech, but it is on different machinery. Here's the difference. In my first week I was given uniforms, 5... — read more

Is this dead?
Nothing but crickets in here lately. What's the latest from the front lines of Ricoh? Any new news about the much talked about transformation of the company from last year?
How is this even possible?
I'd like for somebody to name another company where the longer you've been employed the less you are appreciated? Can anybody find another company like that? I only worked for two companies before Ricoh, but I'm pretty sure that it's a universal rule... — read more

Stretched thin much?
It's ridiculous how some offices are stretched so thin and how some techs are constantly being sent out of their areas to help surrounding offices. The only thing keeping it from getting worse is that customers are leaving. Not a great either way.
Anyone remember "complete service call" concept?
We have been sliding down the slippery slope on this for the last few years. The quality of service calls has been declining in part due to service managers covering two territories and twice the number of techs. They have been increasingly chained... — read more
