Thread regarding Pfizer layoffs

Not a good place for young scientists

Am I the only one who feels this way? When I got a job at Pfizer, I guarantee there was no one happier than me. One year later, reality is more clear than ever. I feel as though I'm in an environment where any sort of progress in my career is just wishful thinking. I know this is a big company and some people are not in the same position as I am, but at my workplace, the only thing we can do is follow the old stuck-up ways of our older colleagues who couldn't care less about any invention or scientific progress. Anyone who doesn't act according to their ways is labeled as a rebel and he has to fear for his job. All and all, Pfizer is a good name to have on your resume, nothing else. I'm sure many will agree with me.

I totally agree with you. You work hard for your career in chaotic, most challenging and with no management environment and in return you get constant mental and physical pressure with no rewards but only expectation from your manager and reviewers.
