Thread regarding Scientific Games Corp. layoffs

For years

They getting rid of the people that knew the products and the clients. Not in a query that can go to anyone in the united state. The thing is the clients don't get good customer service they deserve and most of the CS are not the expert of games because of high turnover. It's not the intimate one on one relationship anymore with clients. They get a new person each time.
They have been laying off people for years it's nothing new.
I guess ever layoff is a gain in the revenue. So the stockholder wouldn't know how the book are being changed.
Sarcasm so lets layoff people so we can so are revenue is going up. Sounds like a good idea. Almost every six month layoffs.

They've cut so much talent and so many people who had a vast tome of industry knowledge. Others got fed up and preemptively jumped ship.

Now the company is re-making costly mistakes on lessons that were learned long ago.

Has it been worth-it to the bottom-line to cut payroll so close to the bone, resulting in costly mistakes elsewhere? Who knows.

The hiring depends on division. Some groups are trying to maximize profits by running lean, which just causes problems. Staffing cuts are the fastest way to reduce costs in the minds of some people.

Why do you think that mass layoffs will happen by the end of the year? It seems like the company is hiring now.

SG whacked several people on 8/28/19. They call it “streamlining”. Mostly legacy WMS people as usual.
