Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Cabela's is Back!

Well as expected it only took Mr. Morris 18 months to realize that Cabela's was superior to Bass Pro. This week, Cabela's leadership regained control of the company as the Bass Pro faithful continue to fall and have no replacements to step to the table. Culture and loyalty only get you so far! Out are the last of the key Bass leadership and in with Cabela's replacements. BPS Chief Human Resource Officer and former Store VP, VP of Merchandising and VP of Hardlines all out as of Friday. All Cabela's former leaders now in charge. Chief of HR Gary Elers, Director of Operations Dana Streff, VP of Merchandise Sean Streff, Director of Benefits Milt Ehly, Director of Training Ashley Andreas. Can't wait to see what is next. So we may have lost the battle, but we have won the war!

Cabela's died when they became a publicly traded company. The cabela family made their money. Tommy Milner then s—ed the remaining life out of the company and moved on to ruin lives at another company. Cabela's is dead dead dead. Move on folks, there is a whole world out there that is better than BP/Cab.

Cabela's will only be a product label name in 10 years . Read into it what you want for all your wishful thinking. BPS will always been the face of the company.

Why is there any conversation concerning Cabela's any more?
To state Cabela's is back is Ludacris not to mention assinine, Cabela's was PURCHASED by Bass Pro with the only goal in mind to eliminate a major competitor.
Cabela's is nothing more that a shelf brand being relegated to the rear of the product line.
It is time to move forward what is done is done, not thing one any one can or will do about it.

Thats why all the Cabelas stores in Canada are getting rebranded as Bass Pro ? And I see at least 2 new Bass Pro stores being built and opening. How many new Cabelas stores are opening? This has been the whole issue with Cabelas, the "culture". Do you realize that as part of the merger and borrowing money from Goldman that Bass Pro "Had" to keep a large number of Management from Cabelas in place? All you Upper management should feel lucky you still have a job ! If you want Cabelas back so bad why did you stay? Why not jump ship with the other 200 some Cabelas management still in place and start your own business since you were doing "Such a great job" . At the end of the day, we know Bass Pro keeps their stores on a thin crew, same with alot of the Departments at Corp. So when it comes time to make "Cuts" due to under performing, or low profits. Who do you think are going to get the ax? The people at the store keeping the customers happy? Or the High dollar Managers over the Managers who manage more Managers ? All you "Superior" people who should have left because you think its a war or a battle. Maybe then the rest of us can focus on our job and keeping the Merge of Both companies going forward instead of living in the past.

Cabela's superior to Bass Pro really and what make you think that, Neither are worth a fart in a skillet in my honest opinion.
Both share equally in the blame for the destruction of so many lives, as well as several communities with their bold face lies and blatant greed.
Go ahead live the fantasy that Cabela's will resurface, reality check bucko Cabelas is dead the dream is dead and Bass Pro will go the way of the dodo as well.

So now that the control of Bass Pro is overtaken by Cabela's, how soon before everything is moved back to Sidney, Corporate, Distribution Center, etc?
How soon before all has returned back to as it once was?

I think that this has less to do with former Cabela's staff being better than Bass Pro Shops' staff, and more to do about the current state of retail, global economy and domestic issues. I would bet that sales are soft and I'm sure the tariffs don't help. Also, focus on gun control due to mass shootings doesn't help.

If things don't turn around, don't be shocked if the former Cabela's staff are shown the door too.

Crossing their fingers for a Democratic president. :)

I don't think people care at this point. With everything that went on, myself and all of the people that I know won't shop at either anyway.
It is really a who cares attitude out there regarding both.

So my take on this post is that it was an insider job to get Bass Pro to PURCHASE Cabela's, then move the executives from Cabela's to positions of authority and responsibility in the Bass Pro management. system. Thereby systematically removing Bass Pro from the inside and replacing it with Cabela's.
Thereby removing Cabelas's chief competition?
Systematic hostile takeover from the interior as it were.

So when will we see the Bass Pro logo being removed and replaced with the Cabela's logo?
Cabela's is back smhhhh.
That dream died almost two years ago.

Will take a wait and see attitude.
Cabela's is still and will always be a Bass Pro shelf brand from this point forward.
To say Cabela's is back is a premature and wiishful statement.
Oh and I am not a Cabela's hater as I will soon be accused of. Yet rather a pragmatist, and cautious sceptic.
