NetApp has to do something different to grow again. Working closer with its partners might be the way to go.
Keep an eye on Cloud Data Services as well.

Firms buy from Dell and IBM because of the full package around Professional Services. NetApp has given up on PS in general, is now relying on the partners. Not a way to survive.

Dell is or was the new IBM. Since IBM acquired Redhat I think it’s probably time for another acquisition. I digress, NetApp has nothing to offer in comparison to the full scope of things available from Dell, IBM, etc. There is no justified reason for purchasing NetApp. Better more complete solutions are available elsewhere.
