So they need to show better numbers on their balance sheets, let's get rid of hundreds of managers even though we've been telling everyone for years that we need more managers to open all these new stores we have planned. Let's get rid of all these other positions at store level. Let's get rid of all these people at corporate offices. Let's get rid of a bunch of our IT people. Let's spew this BS all the time about how everyone working there is a part of a family (FAM), but let's get rid of all of you to make our numbers and stocks look better even though nothing has changed. Oh yeah, and let's keep it a secret for as long as possible.

I believe the issue is from the DOS. The lay offs happened a year before this set and we were PROMISED that we should not fear out jobs. "This was a one time thing going forward." Was a pile of c-ap. Every call started with "Our team is our most valuable asset". Yet another lie. I was in a store that hit every budget this year ! The DOS is a man that knows nothing but operations. The only reason he still has a job is because he puts all the weight on the regional leadership. 2 of the these RSM's are the backbone of the company. I have so much love for the brand I worked so hard at for years. Now I find it hard to understand why I stayed as long as I did to be underpaid and micromanaged.
I love how they have basically told the staff that I quit. Not that I was laid off, but that I quit. No integrity whatsoever. Do you people not understand that we build relationships at work? That me not being there does not mean I no longer communicate with my former coworkers. Ever heard of cell phones, texts, facebook? Don't worry, I cleared that up for them real quick. Welcome.
Check out Bowlero Corp. They are opening new centers across the country and looking to hire several operations and sales managers, as well as servers, cooks and bartenders. I bet they would love to hear from anyone displaced from D&B!
They don't give a damn about people. No matter how much they say otherwise. That was clear to me since day 1. It's all just a bunch of bs to try to get people to buy into a non existent philosophy and make them feel better.
Similarly, I was one of those affected at our location. I did notice they slipped in a modified "at will employment" clause at the end of the s-xual harassment module they made mandatory during Q2.
When Regionals are even in the dark about choices that turn the entire company on its head - you know something is wrong.
