And not a word in regards to raises. Yep, we are children and can't be trusted with information. Smashing. Just tell us there's a delay or SOMETHING. ANYTHING.

Raises were loaded to the system a few days ago retroactive back to 9/9. You can see this HCM
The entire company isn’t failing, just most of it. Still a couple BUs doing quite well despite west’s negligence of them because they were a little acquisition years ago and not the main west. Aging and failing infrastructure within the BUs that are actually profitable has been ignored for years against the recommendations of the engineers.
If a company is failing, losing clients and not growing or innovating in any way, I would not expect raises. Just move on or retire like all of the top level people did, it's not worth trying to save a sinking ship.
They wonder why people are leaving in droves....Our area will literally fall apart if more people leave. I can't blame them. I too will be leaving after 16 years with the company. I am leaving for more money, better bonuses, better benefits, and guaranteed raises yearly. It isn't a tough choice to leave.
Everyone in the company will be making less next year then they did this year as soon as they release the insurance increase. I’m hearing rumors that it will be at least a 10% increase on insurance so you can kiss your measly SIP goodbye and then some.
So our Manager sent out an email with the merit increase yesterday...don't go spend it all in 1 place! Of course when the benefit changes come out, insurance will go up and it will reflect as a pay cut at the end of the year.
We had a gentleman retire last year and his tax account was worried. He as asked why? The tax account stated your income has gone done the last 6 years with West...even with the 'raises'.
Mid-Year Performance Reviews, and are as follows:
o If you were rated Overall Exceptional, expect a 2.25% increase
o If you were rated Overall Successful, expect a 1.15% increase
o If you were rated Overall Needs Improvement, expect no increase
- If you have been with Intrado for less than a year, no increase was awarded.
This is really sad and reflects what the company really thinks of us!
Merits aren't out in our location...How do you know you received one?
Is this why the comp tab in Oracle was blank for a while today??? Mine is still blank, no longer shows what I currently make.
If it is not as much as previous years we need an explanation! West is a communication company and it cannot communicate to its employees. While there may be a merit raise, (when I see it on my check I'll believe it!) what about a cost of living increase that other companies give that West has not given in the last 15+ years. This is not a merit increase, more like an offset of health insurance increase!!!
Eat your hat- merits are out and went to anyone, non management included, that scored satisfactory on their appraisals. Anyone that needed improvement did not receive- which is suitable.....not as much as previous years but at least we got one.
If anyone not in management gets a merit raise this year, I'll eat my hat. There's no logical way that they're going to give us our money.
At this point they have made it abundantly clear that they're encouraging employees to leave. Lying to us about getting raises is as low as these a–holes can get!
