Thread regarding Avid Technology Inc. layoffs

Losing $10m a quarter can't go on forever

Our shares price dropped 36% yesterday.
We made $3m profit - but that's before the $13m in interest payments every quarter... So it was a loss of $10m
That loan will be the death of Avid
The investors saw through Jeff's spin
It can't go on forever

Avid’s Pro tools division is losing hundreds of software users daily because of glitches that have plagued users for years. In an attempt to keep revenue up, Avid has switched Pro tools to an all subscription platform. The error code 9073 continues to halt productions in home and major studios world wide for Pro tools users. This is the end of Pro tools as we know it as competitors smell blood and are quickly coming up with platforms that won’t stop in the middle of a productive work flow and of course is a one time purchase to those who want out of the never ending circus of excuses with no fix. At las, back to the fun of working in the studio again without waiting for the inevitable crash!!!

Do you think we will get bought out by private equity? Maybe we should do another merger
