Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

TODAY IS “D” DAY

Here is how this morning is gonna play out. Statements will be made about how well we are doing and how how bright the future is for Noble.
How Midstream profits are up (Even though the stock is 1/2 what is was this time last year), and how Safety is doing Great.....
Then the recent reduction in staff will be briefly talked about as if it really did not happen...
And then.... only the positive questions from the survey sent out will be answered... you know... the ones from the boot lickers...
then everyone will file out with the typical confused looks on their faces ....
And the people that actually perform work will think to themselves “Man, now I am even farther behind in my workload” while the boot lickers will be thinking “Cool, now I only have to pretend to do stuff for 4 more hours until I can sneak out”

And of course this doesn't include any of the many contractors used by Noble for projects who can be laid off at any time. Lots will be going after Leviathan start up with no other major projects on the horizon.

I think you got this prediction wrong. Pretty straight forward about the layoffs. There will be more. Had to chuckle at the bootlickers comments below. That person might work in my division!

too many senior managers and way too many directors. HR has a director and a VP for everything. Noble also has 35 and 38 year old analysts, senior analysts, and advisors that will never be more than what they are. They need to move on.

I've lost count of how many bad management decisions NBL has made since 2014. Why are the senior managers still around at this company? The top needs a re-org. Don't blame the employees!

Since we were told (in the townhall-) that there will continue to be staff reductions, I am wondering which business units will be effected and how many employees will find themselves without a job.

I think people are going to be very very surprised on what is going to be announced during this town hall this morning.

I have it on good authority that Noble is ..... wait.... someone is coming..... gotta go....
