Ascena is in crisis

This focus on talent is ridiculous they pay minimum wage get 6 hrs a week and treated horribly. A company on building up woman have adapted the mean girl attitude. It’s simple get stylish clothes that can be mixed and matched . Actually have the clothes in the stores woman want what they purchase today not 3 weeks from now .

Wonder if they figured out you keep screwing over work force is what’s k–ling there sales . Customers go into stores for them to have what I’m looking for and based on the help I received last time I
Shopped . If I wanted to order on line I don’t need to go into your store .

When I visited the corporate offices in Mahwah I was stunned. The "home office" employees eat in a upscale dining room with floor to ceiling views and are offered made to order lunches from Chef's while the front-line employees get 30 minutes in the backroom at a folding table. Going forward companies that truly value their employees and reduce the gap between the "haves" and "have nots" will be the successful ones.
Additionally, the operating model of ASCENA is so outdated as to be laughable. Store Associates report to Store Leaders who Report to District Leaders who Report to Regional Leaders who Report to VP's etc. etc. Hire a competent store leader and let he/she run the store.

This company is very dishonest to it’s employees and customers. I wish they would realize if they sold a higher quality of clothes and not push credit down everyone’s throat people would want there stuff . I hate going into any of their store’s anymore. I want to just pay for my purchase not sign up for anything more if it’s going to take 20 mins to check out they should have chairs .

I agree. Ascena has lost focus. Cutting cost by eliminating / terminating employees who have been with the company for years. Not a smart move to save their brand. We have choices now so I’ll never buy from this company again. So ironic for a company that is suppose to empower women to dispose of them like they do. Trust me I know. I was employed by the Lane Bryant Brand for 12 years. Terminated for no good reason.
