Thread regarding Uber layoffs

Layoffs at Uber are inevitable

Do people really not realize how bad our results were?

Layoffs are inevitable - the question is not if it'll happen, the question is how soon and how bad it'll get.

And if our results are any indicator, it'll get really bad really soon.

Now is the time to start looking elsewhere if you don't want to get caught completely unprepared.

Of those laid off today (Sept 10, 2019), more than 85% are based in the U.S., 10% in the Asia-Pacific and 5% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to the source.

The layoffs came after Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi asked every member of his executive leadership team if they were to start from scratch, would their respective organizations would look like the way they do today.
