Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Family Company:

Do you believe Johnny Morris cares for his employees (at both Bass Pro and Cabela’s) the way D–k and Mary did? Why or why not? After all, the discount is better now and my GM acts like we are way better off after the merger. I personally feel unappreciated and overworked since the merger, but I would like some opinions from Outfitters. Preferably employed between 2012-present. Thank you.

He cares so much that every Christmas, instead of having to go through a community charitable organization to find someone who needs help, we just collect money for our own destitute co-workers.

Not sure you could name a business owner that cares or cared less for their people than ones who would sell their company knowing what it would do in their hometown.

The junk about the Cabela’s family caring about everyone so much was lip service.

Dude, it's retail....No owner cares, it's all BS. The Cabela's family pumped this line of BS to employees and then stabbed them all in the back. Open your eyes.
