They are cutting as many people as they can because they have to chase the numbers and get ahead of the poor planning historically. As if they thought customers would simply keep purchasing SSD arrays. I predict NetApp will have less than 5,000 employees by the time they figure anything out that causes their stock to climb. (Pass the popcorn)
more level 1 order takers and no investment for level 3 and above value creators.....cloudy discounting on the horizon with darkening discounting going into the early evening hours...spin that one ron at your next quarterly.....
NetApp will naturally lose personnel due to turnover.
Both Amazon and Microsoft are hiring like there's no tomorrow.
They said they are hiring 200 sales people over 4 quarters with no additional expenses. So we can expect at least 200 job losses if not more in the near future.
