Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

What are the odds of an EISP?

Any chance of an EISP? For craft IBEW or CWA. Plenty of people ready to go but will they sweeten the deal? Or just keep forcing people to quit or get fired due to stupid rules and policies? What have you heard?

I would accept a case of Wonka Bars to leave at this point

Anyone who has their points and is choosing to stick around risks their ability to get a lump sum in the case of a bankruptcy. I don’t understand why anyone would stay. If after all these years you need an ISP then you have squandered your money.

I have 15+ years in the company. Id consider a buyout if it was sweetened. Like they extend the max cap on weeks. I think we get 24 or 26 weeks max. They should extend it too at least 32.

They have the free cash flow to do it. If both sides had a clue they would negotiate one. Financially it makes sense to buyout higher waged workers (especially ones who could keep accruing pensions) and replace them with ones that make 50% less and no pension.

There are no money left for an EISP! Why would they pay people to quit when the company is going bankrupt!?
