Payroll being let go and outsourced!

Word is that the payroll department was let go. Some now and rest will be in January. Supposed to be outsourcing. Good luck getting your paycheck ;). Really? What is happening to this company? It is such a shame to see a great company wasted away by Level 3 management.

  • Jeff Storey was a horrible choice. I can only imagine Glen being threatened somehow is why he chose him to lead the company.

Or Jeff Storey was the pick of a hedge fund owner, who bought a large chunk of stock a few years ago. (2017, I think, based on this link https://www.thestreet.com/story/14124003/1/corvex-s-meister-eyes-ceo-shakeup-at-centurylink-level-3.html) Interestingly, after buying 30 million shares, he sold off like a month later.

No suprise here. Most of the telCom and it companies use ADP payroll solutions. Be weary of 3rd party useage as they typically screw up payroll atleast 3x per quarter leaving you with a default paycheck and the promise of we'll pay you the difference next check. There are no instant fixes to get you your money right away, that's out the window with 3rd party payroll.

I only know of Monroe. I am not sure about Denver.

"being threatened somehow is why he chose him to lead the company"

Doubt it. What likely happened is the board got frustrated with quarter after quarter of missed results and pressure from larger/vocal shareholders with the previous CTL (witness the thrown under the bus of certain execs prior). Jeff spun a better story and pointed at L(3). The board jumped at the chance and put him back in.

The truth is both CTL and L(3) were about serial acquisition of companies, and once they were forced to rely on organic growth they were through. Neither one had or has a clue on how to run the business for the long term. Keep buying another company to pump up revenues. That's the Clarke M Williams way.

It is Level 3 management, look around at who they are letting go of and who they are keeping! Leg. Clink people are having to reapply for their jobs and not get rehired as they bring in a director that was laid off from level 3. The merger with Level 3 has RUINED this company and Jeff Storey was a horrible choice. I can only imagine Glen being threatened somehow is why he chose him to lead the company.

Mine too. I think it's the names.

The guy from Atlanta isn't really legacy CTL either. Hired just before the merger. The lawyer and Consumer are the only two real legacy CTL and Consumer is set up to fail.

My post deleted yet again, no profanity, just gone. The post was in regards to – Legacy centurylink management has no idea what they are doing on the national level. It’s fair to say them as a whole are the issue. – I checked and it seems to me that a lot of national is run by Level 3, all the way up to Mr. Batelaan, who is legacy CTL. Is this the chain you speak of? Who is the national you speak of? Also, if you check, 8 of the 12 leadership BIO's on our web page are legacy Level 3.

Forgot about the lawyer. CTL possibly has too.

And more relevant:

I would like to point out that it’s not all level 3 management. Legacy centurylink management has no idea what they are doing on the national level. It’s fair to say them as a whole are the issue.
