The Allen NOC clowns who they call managers are are bunch of micro managers who have no concept of how the field equipment works or what is priority and what is not. Records are not accurate at all and we are usually chasing our tails and wasting man power and resources on circuits that have no traffic and have been disconnected for years!! Management is too focused on being administratively correct instead of restoring services to our precious customers that our out if service. They have turned TIER I into ticket creators with no troubleshooting what so ever and push it off onto the real TIER II troubleshooters. What's next outsource all NOC centers to India like TIER II switching whereas tech gets the run around while our customer sits in outage for days and weeks? The VP and Director of operations our ex military and try to run the NOC as micro managed military!! It starts with house cleaning of them first !!

We bring the issues to the union reps and they let the company do whatever they please!! Unions are not strong like they used to be. All they do is take your dues every month in exchange for nothing. They too are job scared like all managment is, scared to make a decision in fear of losing their free pay check.
In Illinois they are forcing CO techs outside to do IR work and the Union allows it!So now they will not backfill IR jobs at all.We will be seeing a decline in switch and transport dependability as the pms on equipment starts getting skipped and offices are unmanned.Any other states having this?
What are any of you doing as employees to help improve these interactions? Going on a forum and voicing your complaints anonymously and crying how bad management is as a union employee instead of pointing the finger at the responsible people? I'm glad I do not work for this company and with these union employees because its pathetic and your stabbing each other in the back. Do you not think management wants this business to flourish so they have a retirement as well? All I see are complaints and BS union rhetoric blaming everyone and deflecting accountability to the management. Maybe you should exert your efforts and energy to break away from CWA and work independently of a contract so you dont have to quiver at the thought of outsourcing, becoming obsolete, and are able to work up the ranks to a leadership role and have more influence-but keep drinking that kool-aid with Jim Jones and the teamsters its clearly paying off.

Whole company is a clown show. NOC is a shining example of this.
Tier II actually said they didn't know how to help fix a switching problem, thank God we have some real old timers who know how to fix things
