Just scanned through the top toy lists at Amazon, Target and Walmart. Considering the size of Mattel and number of brands, their representation among the lists seems to be quite minimal. What are the expectations to close out the year? I'm guessing RD and Ynot must be p1issing in their pants when they look at the forecasts.

CEO (meh) Ynon has more to lose than COO (ha) RD. Ynon's contract is up next year. No such luck with RD, he's an evergreen thorn in Mattel's creative side. No accountability, no value add, no leadership, no end in sight. Just another freakin' loser in our perpetual management trainwreck. Ynon, if you do NOTHING ELSE, please fire RD before you leave with your $31 million. Throw a rock and hit a more capable person. RD=Really Dumb.
Mattel has failed on every aspect of innovation and has slit its own throat. All the experienced designers have either been laid off or bailed to greener pastures. Mattel is now completely dependent on outside inventors for new concepts. Ironically, Inventor Relations has become notoriously cheap when dealing with inventors This is well-known within the inventor community, to the point where NO ONE goes to Mattel first to show new ideas. Mattel only sees third-string concepts that which have been seen and rejected by other companies. Don't expect any miracles from Mattel before it collapses on itself. There is no recovering from this nosedive.
It's pretty remarkable how tired Mattel's fall line up feels.
Spin, JustPlay and Moose have taken a lot of shares from Mattel. MGA taking the biggest chunk. Hasbro is still big but they too have not had too many hits. The 4 toy co. mentioned have innovative toys in the market. I don’t see anything new or innovative from Mattel. I’m a consultant for all majors Toy companies and I’ve seen so much more creativity from the other toy companies that Mattel will be just left with what they have, Barbie and Hot Wheels which will kids will eventually lose interest in. I really do hope Mattel figures out their next move or it’ll keep losing shares to the competitors.
