Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Keep on Dancing

Our company just spent two weeks dancing and making absolute fools of themselves. What happened to a professional work environment? Meanwhile Continental, EOG, ConocoPhillips, etc are working hard, growing, and creating value. I doubt they announce layoffs every 6 months.

Keep on dancing people.
Keep on dancing.

We could have moved forward with Oracle. That was an opportunity at one point.

And it would have been a good decision, but Devon isn't necessarily in the business of making good decisions.

Only a SAP would believe that.

Didn’t SAP cure all Devon’s problems?

or is DVN finally getting rid of top-heavy management that ran the company into the ground and has been focused only on their own golden parachutes ?

CLR is also laying off...quietly of course. Don't kid yourselves. OKC is in a rut, oil and gas is in a rut.

Apparently Elliot wants us to bear hug CLR, but I’d imagine that Uncle Harold has one hell of a bear trap in place.

Does anyone really truly believe all these moves are going to boost our stock premium to put us in a position to buy another company?
