Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

This sums up exactly how bad it's now. A 9 year old drill ship not even worth 50 milliion.

As previously reported, Petrobras was trying to sell drillship Vitoria 10000 via an auction. Vitoria 10000 is a drillship of a Samsung 10000 design built in 2010, which is currently warm stacked in Brazil. The minimum price for the rig was set at $47.5 million. Bassoe Offshore has just reported that the auction closed with no bids.

Oil industry is dead , I make way more money now onshore and have for years away from the industry.
Plus work far less. 12 hour shifts 3 weeks on or more and 5 days home what a great life.
I dont understand why anyone still wastes there life doing it.
It's always been a cxxp lifestyle but least 8 years ago paid well now the rates are a joke.
You spend 3/4 of your life stuck on a rig full of total dxxks and for what? A leased car you dont drive or a house you wife spends her time entertaining the local lads as your working 24/7 trying to keep up a image .
Sad sad life.
Aberdeen, oil and bhge winning.
