Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Why does it take so long?

So as EGD and UGL merged to this new company EGI and to become one. When it came time for bringing together pension, benefits, share options, Stip and more is was basically implemented quickly.
Now many MANY of us ask about the wage differences between individuals doing the same job or even same dept. Where Legacy EGD people make 5-15% more up to sometimes 20% more than legacy Union. Told something working on.
No timeline and seems like no real concern.
Is this the same company that tells me Integrity ?

If not addressed soon I know many of us in new year will be looking to new horizons.
Just disappointing.

Well here's a newsflash for you. They don't have a clue about pay parity. If you could see the real differences in pay in the "same" pay grades- people doing the same job, sitting right next to each other. The head of comp left and didn't even tell anyone where she was going- she didn't want to take any baggage with her. So comp was left leaderless for almost a year. Nothing was done.
Chatham? There's an entirely different level of pay structure for your entire office.

Why think it's just Chatham only ?
Lots of us in other areas in old UGL not pleased with wage parity off par.

Do you think the Chatham office will eventually close all together or just a reduced staff?

Are you talking about people who are basically doing the same thing but have different pay grades... or people with the same pay grade/title having different salaries? They can fix and have fixed pay grades (the first scenario), but at this stage, I think you need to have someone at the manager level or above bringing your case forward. Anyone I know thar went through this was jerked around for months before anything happened. And if they do bump you to a higher grade, it does not mean they increase your pay or admit they were wrong - so that’s super fun.

I'm from LEGD and I too am being paid below my band level. It's not just happening in Chatham. This has been going on for the last 6 years for me (and probably for some others).

If your unhappy with your job/company, it is definitely worth considering a change. Life is short.
