Layoffs at DELL EMC, Louisville CO site on October 30th 2019, almost half of the site is impacted, pity politics at severance packages

I agree. The Louisville site was extremely productive and full of talented engineers. It was allowed to contract over the years due to the offshore movement of jobs and Dell belt tightening.
Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to work for the Dell DP division anyway? There is no significant opportunity for growth at U.S. locations. And the DP executive-level vision/execution for future products has been pathetic, to say the least.
I'd expect Irvine to be the next fatality, while Hopkinton continues to grasp for relevance.
Sorry to hear that. Such a petty move. Been there a year ago, took me a while to find a new job, but ended up in a much healthier environment, so trust me when I say it’s their loss, not yours. Keep looking. Good luck.
