Thread regarding Refinitiv layoffs

DW Gunning for DC

Just as there was the open target of JG it is understood that DW has the cross hairs on DC.
The word is lots of back room discussions with shareholders and stakeholders with a public "not true".
You just never know, given the recent talent choices made in recent times.
Good luck to them all but my advice would be to play the ball and not the man which would be a significant change in culture.

Yeah, the sycophants are falling over themselves to "like" pictures of her garishly decorated rotund visage, as displayed on my linkedin feed. It must be time for another "D-Tour"!!! With a new and improved "D"!!!

I remember my first D-Tour; I had tickets to the final show at 195 Broadway. I got to see our new CEO (President?) tell us how amazing it was to be him. Inspirational.

RE: @11RnOObn-2kwn

Looks like she is thrilled again to be meeting all the Sales / Account Managers. No doubt another around the world trip on the Horizon !

BSh was smartest person in the room? I guess he was alone in the room then. Could get a part as the not so talented Mr. Ripley

Can't think of one thing this leadership team has accomplished that didn't involve simply laying people off to improve margins. DC is aloof, and DW is just a genuinely malicious person: to all men, and any woman who isn't in her "Mean Girls" inner circle. Yes, that's a thing, and it's not even really a secret.

I've got to say that it's so visible that it's cringe worthy and staff are it and use this as the cultural model. How to progress in your career? Knife anyone who gets in the way. A poor reflection when an executive's blind ambition is so obvious to staff and colleagues. Surely can't last through the next corporate restructure..... I did say that once before though!

Interesting comparison with mid-tier customer. I've often thought that many Refinitiv execs would barely make it past VP anywhere else. DW clearly ramping up the public image, and encouraging many to do her bidding. I've lost count of the Linkedin posts I get with pictures of her being delighted or thrilled or something else in various parts of the world. btw seems they're making more fuss and spending more money on Refinitiv's 1st birthday than they did on the launch. Maybe senior management's amazed they've lasted this long. To those who are behind the scenes actually making the place run - congratulations.

They are both over-promoted mediocre talents neither of whom would be employable beyond junior team lead level in a mid-tier customer. BSh is effortlessly the smartest in the room and is the immediate threat to both of them. Wonder how long he will last... remember PB?

There has always been an undercurrent between DC & DW that goes back as long as I can remember. DW would say that DC couldn't focus (he loved shiny objects) and being an engineer by trade never made him necessarily the right guy to lead a real time financial services group. DC (rightly) never thought that DW understood a single thing about the technology and platforms. JG never stood a chance in that toxic environment of F&R – actually thought he was a pretty good guy. The fact that DW has bounced from gig to gig in the TR/Refinitiv evolution says this: she plays the politics well and is a survivor. You might not like her, but she has big Aussie brass ones and talks a good game.

I remember DW in meeting room having her makeup done by someone bought in just for that , prior to recording a n internal Corp video :-)
This was when everyone was being told to cut expenses ....

I've seen some Linkedin "ping pong" from the same events and same images but both saying their leading the charge. No surprise.
