Thread regarding Regions Bank layoffs

S&G next phase details.

Another round of layoffs is coming the first week of January. Managers will have one FTE of their choosing to pink slip. Additionally they will have to choose another FTE to be on the "Red" team. The "Red" team is those who are slated to be laid off and is also used to determine outsourcing needs before they are given their severance.

Management reductions are coming at the end of 1st Quarter. Justification will be that their are not enough direct reports to justify the amount of managers.

Good luck everyone.

If Truist decides to acquire looser Regions, they will want the accounts and nothing more. Your job will be gone.

Ok Truist wise a_s. Let’s get up to date on recent news. I read where that post to which you refer was made a couple of months ago. Don’t hate because you are associated with a cut throat despicable bank called Regions.

BB&T and SunTrust said they expect to complete the merger on Dec. 6, 2019. The conversion to the Truist brand will occur over the next two years.

Next round of cuts have begun. Thus far, bankers who worked 30+ years... GONE... others 13 years GONE.. 45 years - Gone... Ages over 55+ are being let go faster and faster, people with over 10+ years are being given severance packages or are being bullied out. This is getting ridiculous. Bankers over 50 are 'scared' (as it's hard to find jobs, even IF other companies say they don't discriminate).. some don't have another income within the household, some are wonderful customer service oriented individuals, being let go without hessitation. Some are the most brilliant at banking knowledge - logical, valuable employees - Being let go or forced out. Most branches are now running on minimal staff, and the older bankers have been let go - the ones with all the banking knowledge to keep Regions out of trouble with the Fed Reserve. Better be careful.. The Fed reserve may shut it down!

They certainly won’t find anything in Birmingham with two confirmed local banks moving operations out of the state. The people they backstabbed over the years and families they’ve ruined have already moved on to bigger and better things.

All but the upper echelon will have something to worry about once Wells Fargo or SunTrust takes over
