Knowing layoffs are coming but not knowing when exactly and if I'm affected is pure torture. I wonder how much longer we'll be kept in the dark on this.
This is completely unnecessary, just tell us what's going on for goodness' sake. All of us are grownups, we can take it. Making us wait makes everything ten times worse.
they are closing the ENTIRE Denver office.... that's about 300 employees - GONE!

The layoffs started.
The layoffs usually go like this... the VP's/Managers layoff their team members and then after they do the dirty work, the VPs/Managers are laid off by Senior Management. Then they cut any duplicate Senior Management. Then they rehire younger and cheaper.
Just be ready, have your office/workspace cleaned out and ready to go as once they walk you out, you can't get back in to get any personal belongings.
Well they said 500 to be laid off. So they’ll layoff 300 from the Denver office and 200 from everywhere else in the company. Why would they spend money to relocate when they are trying to cut costs. Plus, Chicago is a dump. No one wants to live there.
There was an article that said layoffs would happen over next two months.

Keep in mind these are just the first round of layoffs. There will be more in 2020 to get rid of duplicate jobs in Chicago. Can’t have a bunch of VPs doing same job....
