I enjoyed working for MetLife and still feel I do. But, since MetLife outsourced the closed block business to DXC (formerly CSC) ; I have been working for them but DXC's business is in bad shape and we are hearing about them exiting the business. They plan on shutting down their help desk and outsourcing services. Before I get layed off; how do I rejoin MetLife? Any suggestions? Should I try to move to Cary?

Why are you asking the board this question? Go to Careers in Motion, see if there's something you like (in whatever locations are acceptable to you) and apply. It's that simple. You don't need to be coming here and asking people if this is what you should do.
Also, look externally (HIGHLY recommended). This company has a history of people who have worked here for decades, even in the same location for all those years. You'd think this was the only company in the country that employs people.
MetLife was once a private company that took care of its employees and maybe that made the old timers here feel comfortable so they stayed here for years. Fair enough. However, MetLife is not the same place anymore. Not even close.
It's a great big world out there so keep all options on the table. LOOK AROUND !!!
