fiber is currently being deployed in BROOKLYN through contractor(s). Oddly enough, they are simultaneously deploying coax (or replacing some coax) in select areas too.

Hmmmmm Another 2 weeks gone y and still "The Project " continues.
Techs are being brought back as things continue.
Still wont admit it was all just a lie?

They layed off the contractors, now its just in house techs doing it. We are currently working in hackensack, lodi, bogota, hasbrouck heights, clifton, teaneck.

Why do you need a list of anything ? Go ahead and re-read the original post:

"Heard they are shutting the FTTH project down in the next two weeks."

It is simply not true, yes an outright lie! Now its 3 weeks later and there is no shut down. there was never going to be a shut down. Re assignments/slowdowns/re-directions are not complete and total as falsely claimed by the original posting.
Lets face the truth about all of this: its total BS and the OP has zero integrity

Can we know a list of areas being deployed currently then?

Well, tomorrow is Monday and we are going in and working the FTTH PROJECT!!
Its not shut down, we didn't die, the sky isn't falling and the world isn't coming to an end.

Cannot wait for your next "gloom and doom, we need a union" post. I love how your predictions blow up in your face and you never own up to it. Just push along with even more wild speculation.

We always was a hybrid fiber/coaxial and 3 years later barely changed. You think this company going to spend money on infrastructure. They can barely hit their IPO price at the markets peak and now slowing down. The only time I see them spending is when they have what they want no cost to keep employees. All contractors with no benefits and outsourced employees.

11 days and no shut down. They are still building and testing ...

can bet you that the Bronx shop is more of a "ghost town" than anywhere else...

most techs quit, took VRP, or were unjustly fired.

Field Service is now 90% contractor and 10% in-house

OSP dept just a skeleton crew of about 15 techs

the truth about this bogus FTTH build will soon be revealed.

3 years in....how many active subs you think are lit up?? hmm?

No one has come back to Freeport, but we do need techs bad. I think we have about 25 now in the field. There use to be over 140 techs in Freeport plus OSP, WIC, Sales, & headend. It’s a ghost town over there now. It’s only a matter of time till lease is up & Home Depot takes over. So sad, it used to be great place to work. Anyway, best of luck to everyone.

Wait! No more comments?? It’s now Tuesday and like the prev guy said, 6 guys were pulled back in Suffolk.

by
|
Post ID: @11fAEC6K-4oga

They have a shortage of inhouse guys so they need some back. An influx of installs now with the price for life promo.

Post ID: @11fAEC6K-3qzh

Ok so dont believe me when i say 6 are coming back to suffolk's hauppauge shop. But when 6 trucks are loaded up an 6 vex meters are set up for them yesterday. You can keep your blinders on. They are not shutting down the project. What they are doing is taking low performers an putting them back into the field. So if you think this post is fake. Call our shop an speak to one of our 2 sups left.

I haven’t seen or heard anything that would suggest this is true.

Post ID: @11fAEC6K-2fyr

If budget is an issue why are they hiring?

by
|
Post ID: @11fAEC6K-2iji

Def not bs. Fiber pullers are going bk to where they came from starting on Monday. They’ll be on a mon-fri for a month then bk to their original shifts. All budget related

Post ID: @11fAEC6K-1imb

This is another id–tic post. They are too far committed to this project to drop it now.
Nothing has slowed down, things are still being ordered.
Calling complete and TOTAL B.S. on this post. Infact, lets be honest here,
Outright lie

Post ID: @11fAEC6K-1lsn

Is this across the whole footprint?

by
|
Post ID: @11fAEC6K-1mkv

Lol, how you " heard" about that and the people on the project didnt? I suppose them going to start to train osp on no light calls is bs too right?

Can we all just put the blame on PK if this really happens ? Asking for a friend....

3 sick days and not paying out unused sick and personal. 2% would have paid for itself if we got to keep those benefits due to a union bargaining

Post ID: @11fAEC6K-vyh

Who are you kidding corporate troll. They took money away was the first thing they did when they bought cablevision. Please remind me that the 3 sick days didn't cost anything.

by
|
Post ID: @11fAEC6K-dtx

Didn't hear anyone complaining in this post . The union is also putting more money back in our pocket. 2% raise for a strong performance last year was pretty sad. We've talked about work load many times over the years with the problems only getting worse. You can say the union won't help but neither has management.

by
|
Post ID: @11fAEC6K-jjy

This company would never do that to us. They have our best interest in mind. We should abandon the union stuff and be thankful that they provide us with jobs to feed our families. Just work harder less tile complaining. The union will take money from your pocket altice hasnt taken my pay away ever. Just be thankful
