Vcm bonuses a joke? In my market the bonuses are our yearly salary..... If that's a joke then then pay for opticians is a joke. I struggle and get hours cut because sales are down, but sales being down the bonuses haven't changed much because it's still a high volume store. What's a joke are the bonuses vcms get tk begin with, while doing what? We do the paperwork, the sales, the mods.... All the vcms at most of my market stores do is scheduling and half the time half the associates are working other stores to fill in because vcms won't do any work and s— up payroll while not filling those hours by doing sales. Vcms need to have a minimum sales to even get a bonus in my opinion. How am I selling 200,000+ alone in sales while my coworkers are abiut the same but my vcm is making double me and getting my salary in a bonus and selling maybe $2,000 for the whole year. We do everything and vcm plays in the back on their phone. In my opinion vcms need to actually be doing more work and being held accountable
Walmart is not the only one doing this folks
Vcm bonuses are a joke
Lots of speculation and not a lot of hard facts at this point. I have been told by my MHWD that the company is re-investing in Optical as it has been adrift from a leadership aspect for several years. Speculation is that in January there will be a complete re-structure of H&W as we know it. MHWD will not longer oversee Optical. There will be a separate reporting structure. MHWD will re-apply for their positions and oversee 2 markets or more of all Pharmacies. A separate position will be created to oversee 2 or more markets of Vision Centers. The plan will be either cost neutral or result in a reduction of leadership overhead. MHWD's who are displaced will not automatically fall into the Optical supervision position. They will have to apply for the position. More than likely this process will be used to weed out lower performing individuals and bring in some fresh, less expensive talent to take on the Vision Centers. This is all speculation— but this is what I've heard from a couple of MHWD directors. They are all a bit on edge but understand we need to move forward with a different leadership approach.
In Massachusetts you cant sell glasses without a licensed optician so cutting hours and trying to find part time licenses seems very difficult to accomplish.
They're going to gut the long term senior staff like they did in the pharmacy a couple of months ago.
Yes,managers hours will be included with optical team budget and all optical managers will be require to shedule all full-time associate a maximum of 34 hours a week. This will cause many full-time associates to leave, the company will focus on cutting fulltimer and hiring part time associate s
The rest of them will go third party.
