I would say Williams has a strong stake in purchasing noble.

"Yes Williams is looking to buy noble."

Yeah right, sure. Williams is almost exclusively a gas processing and transportation company with some electricity generating assets. They know nothing about E&P. Ditto regarding international operations. As an earlier poster said, they may be interested in NBLX, but that's it. If you don't believe it read their own corporate summary:

"Williams is an energy infrastructure company focused on connecting North America’s significant hydrocarbon resource plays to growing markets for natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs). Williams’ interstate gas pipeline and gathering & processing operations span the United States, including strategic assets in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, the Rockies, the Pacific Northwest and the Eastern Seaboard.

Williams owns and operates midstream gathering and processing assets, and interstate natural gas pipelines."

Please, people, enough with the pipedreams that some angel investor will come along and save Noble from itself. That's just not going to happen.

Yes Williams is looking to buy noble. Williams is not a midstream company only. They have assets in transmission, offshore and some midstream facilities. The acquisition of an upstream company only strengthens williams which will have assets in all sectors. Williams is also laying off. They have already laid off about 490 on the VSP and are to be done laying off the rest of their for by Nov

Williams is a midstream company. They would not be interested in NBL. Nobody wants NBL.
