In the store I work at Apparel seems to be completely overlooked. Managers do not set foot in that area nor do they handle any issues that arise with the associates. Freight is piled up in receiving (32) pallets of unprocessed clothing and breakpacks of sock, underwear, table merchandise. There are 3 pallets of men's jeans. Cap 2 does not separate the breakpacks nor do they work any of the freight. Third shift doesn't help either. Management tells us that we are on the bottom of the totem pole. AS an apparel associate I think this is ridiculous . We cannot do the work of three shifts in an 8 hour period. We are not on any of the processes. Bins have not been scanned since July. I have been told by 3 managers that clothing is not freight as long as it is out of the box. Can anyone please give suggestions to help us???

@ 2jet, I've myself been gone for coming up on 4 yrs, was there 15, and I don't know which emotion is greater—sweet relief at being away from that slave ship, or horror at myself for having stayed so long!
Been gone a year and somethings never change. I will never regret getting out of the stress zone of Walmart.
@ yvo ..... Tho I've been gone a few years, and there've been all these procedural / policy / administrative changes, it seems like it's all flawed in the same ways it's always been.....and the one constant is the BLAME GAMES that have always persisted.
I say it yet again: GET OUT OF RETAIL. You deserve better, people.
Yes, it is the store manager, co-manager and all assistant. MM gets upset and tell everyone to get on the process. It always seems to be the department managers fault and the salesclerks in that area. Our apparel team is pretty good. All seem to work with the exception of maybe 3 that are not very productive. Our department managers are at the breaking point , they are constantly being threatened with coachings for not being on the process. However, the process starts with Cap 2. It doesn't seem to matter that no other shift doesn't do their part in apparel. We desperately need a solution. Any suggestions that we can try will be helpful.
Is 1 of the management you speak of the SM? Our previous SM was that way but thankfully the 1 we have now is not. When was the last time the MM was @ your store. If you have talked to the SM & that hasn't worked try the MM. Stress the holidays are a big clothing sell time. Best of luck!
