Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Y’all should volunteer for lay-offs

Everyone needs to take comfort in knowing that your ceo received 9.6 million in bonuses this year on top of the 1.4 million he collects in salary and about an additional 5million in “Other rewards and compensation”!! Don’t know why y’all are mad or worried about layoffs, I mean dude has to eat too!!

Volunteering for a lay-off is the same as quitting and they wouldn’t have to give you severance

I’m a seasoned worker, been with this company for over 8 years(been in the work force for 40). The company definitely has flaws, some are obvious to eye, some are hidden and appear when the market is tough. I agree, you should never stay at a job, that makes your life miserable , you should move on to something better. But if I quit, or was let go, and had found a better job, one that I’m grateful for and was happy with, I wouldn’t be on a website checking the status on a job that made me miserable (why should I, as you said you’ve moved on)

Agreed. I didn't realize how much better things were outside of Halliburton until I left. Now I regret not leaving sooner.

Anyone that still has a job at halliburton should Immediately start looking for a new spot. At this point no one should be b–ching or complaining. The company has been on a down hill slide for years. Accept it, move on, and move up. (I quit 2 years ago after 15 years, best thing i ever did). THis goes for all folks in the company i don't care if your in the office or the field. If you stay, your an id–t.
