Gulfstream has only 1 thing better than any other airframe maker and that is brand name! The testing of that brand name will come in the future as the current downsizing that the company is going thru will severely damage the companies reputation. Customers can and will get just as good a bargain as a Gulfstream with other manufacturers. Gulfstream doesn't have a corner on expertise or innovation, just the brand name "Gulfstream". Customers will recognize the fact that their product is no different than any other airframe maker, so why pay a higher markup. Sorry Gulfstream the game is over.

I don't think so!
I’m not sure why anyone would consider a gulfstream aircraft after the problems customers were have with first 500’s that were delivered. How can you expect to compete with other companies when all you are delivering is problem aircraft? You know you’re in trouble when you can’t afford to shut the 550 line down like you planned to do because that’s the only model making money.
Lets take a deflated market (2008) invest heavily in a new product, and being the kings when the economy returns. That's not a bad plan.
No, if you are Gulfstream, you FLOOD the market with similar choices. G500, G550, G600, G650. If you are an organization interested in a Gulfstream product, you have a large list of similar aircraft. Throw in the mess of confusing options, and you are sure to be a market leader!!
The plane decor and tech is so dated that you cant blame rich people for buying planes that look better w/ better tech. Who wants a tv screen from 2009 in a brand new $70 million dollar plane? There is no art to it. They just do whatever is asked, nothing more. The current Gulfstream customer demographic wont live forever. Young billionaires/millionaires want something that’s fresh and innovative.
This is why I'm going to buy a Golfstream. Yes, Golfstream. Half the price versus a Gulfstream.
