Really? Last day on payroll is the 30th of December, so you only have to pay one day of insurance for those people. Not to mention that you are actually going to prorate the bonus (if one) over one day. I would say it is hard to believe but it is exactly what I would expect from this company.

You are overthinking it. They just want you to go so they can start the slash and burn the following month.
Att is as petty as it comes. They don’t stand by their word only when threatened with a lawsuit and even they get their team of lawyers together. Att is pretty spineless and nothing but a coward of a company.
Well if you get rebadged you can count on at least a years pay and have medical benefits while you look for a new job Vs just up to six months severance with no subsidized benefits. And if you don’t take MVO don’t count on getting rebadged but let go. The outsourcing companies have a quota of the number people they will keep in the US at the AT&T locations.
Also there are rebadged employees that went to tech m six years ago and are still at tech m and happy. Not sure about IBM and others. Seems like IBM has a much lower retention rate but they do keep the people who produce. Looks like Accenture keeps people around long enough for knowledge transfer. Not sure about Amdocs but it looks like they will be getting a chunk of tech arch work. Not sure if there will be rebadging.
On top of all this is the fear of being rebadged if you don't accept MVO then let go in a year with no severance from companies like IBM, Tech Mahindra, Accenture......
Every decision is done by the spreed sheet. People don’t matter.
They do it every year
Yeah, that's exactly why we need to leave.
