Outsourcing to IBM Accenture versus Voluntary Seperation offer

Some people were asked to move to Accenture or leave and now this offer has been sent to employees.

What the criteria for being rebadged to Accenture instead of being offered voluntary ?

Does the voluntary offer apply to Accenture rebaged as well ?

The Verizon IT people brought attorney Sara Blackwell in and started making noise. She's the attorney that filed lawsuits for the Disney employees.

She has a nonprofit called Protect US Workers. After the Verizon people got her involved, they were able to take the offer or go to Infosys with a small retention bonus

I don't know the number AT&T rebadged, and your MVO and rebadge didn't occur on the same day >as ours did as far as I can tell, but you guys should fight back. What do you have to lose?

What does it mean to fight back ? They have given us the option of accepting this new job or leaving without severance. I do not see any way out of this.

Is it legal to rebadge employees at the same time they are offering MVO to some employees ?
We don't know how many people are impacted by the re-badging, and this number seems to be a closely guarded secret. Is there any site that collect this kind of information where the employees can gather ?

Verizon and empathy in the same sentence? That's amusing.

Yeah, but Vz has more actual empathy for the lives they are impacting

Let me tell you what happened at Vz when they did this. About 600 of the 2500 people who were rebadged to Infosys at the same time they had a voluntary enhanced offer for 44,000 others, generated a huge backlash to the c-suite. Most of these 600 people had 20+ years of service and many were already retirement eligible. The company backed down and offered the the same enhanced offer to those 600 that they did to the 44,000. Although it wasn't voluntary (in other words, no option to stay), you still had a choice of taking up to 60 weeks severance versus being rebadged to a foreign company. I don't know the number AT&T rebadged, and your MVO and rebadge didn't occur on the same day as ours did as far as I can tell, but you guys should fight back. What do you have to lose?

Those who are being moved to Accenture were not given the offer for the MVO.

The offer is for AT&T employees. The outsourcing companies don’t give offers. They just show most the door after a year or two.

(Case No. 3:17-cv-04827) ─ Motion to compel Arbitration is GRANTED. So, it looks like it is out of the courts.
