Just seen where the Public Utilities Commission of OHIO issued an order modifying Dayton Power & Light's rates and removing the Distribution Modernization Rider and ordered DP&L to file new rate by November 29, 2019. Wander how this will effect DP&L's future. Something to think about since DP&L went through massive layoff's and plant closures awhile back. DP&L is a subsidiary of AES Corporation and AES is always cutting back and laying off/restructing every year or two.
AES just stated the Petersburg Plant will shut down Unit 1 in June 2021 and Unit 2 in June 2023. I'm sure there will be layoffs and who knows what the electric rates will go up to. Seems a poor decision to shut these down and not convert them to gas - everything is already there. Need to keep people working and the electric rates low!!
