This is the GM way, fire people before Christmas.

You have some valid points, however it's not that easy for some people.
Temporary workers hired at GM and Ford, all UAWs. These companies know their image is garbage to the public so they are trying to make good!
Contract employees get screwed royal Everytime... Jack of all trades, skilled but then of course ultimately fired.
It's all about the union and everyone else gets screwed, told you salaried people to form a professional union, unfortunately it will never happen.
Why play around, your wasting precious years of your life with this company. Start a business or go to school and become a doctor, seriously! Think of what your time is worth, gm does this, you are worth more than them.
Welcome to the onsite contractors' world. Been laid off a number of times before Christmas, like clockwork over two dozen years, but not before being furloughed first in Nov for two weeks. One time was for an entire month of December unpaid, but it was still a great time off. You learn to manage your money with this company. As said before, you are a FOOL if you don't have a six to twelve month unemployment fund, while working at GM. Salaried or otherwise.
You know those individual GM assignment rotation cycles, well people like us do bounce around within GM, being cycled over and over, becoming highly skilled jack of many and all trades. We are the most talented among GM because of the forced relocation of learned talent, yet treated like trash. I would bet my bottom line this individual has now become an advocate "AGAINST" GM, like so many before their time. When you are treated like trash, you tend not to care like millions before your time.
Advocates against do not purchase GM vehicles, whether we mercenary for the company or not. Karma works both ways. He's just a baby, he'll figure out how GM operates.
This is so disturbing.
