Customers are furious

Symantec ( Broadcom) customers are furious with the level of technical support they are receiving. The goodwill SYM earned has been thrown into the trash can in a matter of few months. It’s all a mess ! Employees in technical support too are fed up and rumour has it that there is high attrition Impacting the company.

There is a whisper that Broadcom technical support is in for a complete overhaul! This could signal troubling times for Draper and their chief ! - Broadcom has reduced their strategic customers count from 1250 ( as touted ) to around 700! ... expect huge layoffs in the next 4 to 6 months.

The first thing I did this year (after sorting out remote access pandemic issues) is move all my customers off Blue Coat. Support is non existent after Broadcom bought it.

If you are a legacy BlueCoat customer then Accenture should not affect you at all. They are buying the professional services division for Managed Security Services and Incident Response.

Yes, support has been in a state of decay specifically since the Broadcom take over. If you are not in the top 1250 customers (measured by revenue spent with Broadcom) then they simply don't want your business or you to be a customer at all, nevermind being a happy one.

Not related to topic at all...

I am a Blue Coat security products customer.

Blue Coat support = Superb
Symantec (bought Blue Coat a few years back) support = Just OK

Broadcom (bought Symantec 2 months ago) = Utterly Abysmal. If their support just zukked it would be a vast improvement.

I figure it's all due to so many Symantec (and former Blue Coats) bailing out, leaving nearly nobody of any worth... and now with Accenture taking over... I don't have any confidence in Accenture either.

PLEASE READ! this is a great opportunities fo all Symantec experts to open their own company and provide support to those customers. They know our names. Open a LTD company in Ireland or OU in Estonia and "get the ball rolling".

Dublin, same situation... nobody cares anymore... people have been let go on January 7th, second wave of layoffs will be at the end of the month, me included... customers and partners are furious... renewals will not be processed in my opinion... BC is dismantling the company, selling it by the pound...

I’m going to be honest since the switch to Broadcom our altiris support and see/sep support is freaking amazing. I no longer deal with 1st level people who don’t even know the product and go direct to back line engineers.

We are a long time customer of SEP and have been trying for several weeks to renew our licenses. Our licenses are now expired but we are still receiving updates as they extended our expiration dates due to the significant delays in the renewal process. Will the renewals ever be processed??

I can agree with the sh–ty support, I just hang around and I don't care about my cases, there isn't Duty Manager, my manager doesn't care, Broadcom doesn't care, Why do I have to care? I'm waiting for 10/01 to be fired.
