Am I the only one who is fed up with retail? Just look around, those of us who end up being affected by these closing really don't have too many alternatives to turn to. Every single retail company seems to be in the same situation - layoffs and closings galore.
I've decided whether my location closes or not, I'll be looking for another job - and it will not be in retail.
Retail has been over extended for years and many are not adapting. Retail sales are worse than flipping burgers most of the time and pressure put on you. Companies like best buy figured out how to grow omnichannel and saved themselves. Anyone not doing that is going away. Most of the retail opening now are your discount or Ross style stores. Go back to school and get training in a field that can never go away.
