We need cubicles and privacy. I don’t like this new arrangement at all. They say we will collaborate better and that our productivity will go up. I say it will lead to increasingly bad moods. Of course they will tell us there’s the door if we object. So typical isn’t it ?

I wasn't a fan of the open floor plan when my McD office went to that design, smallish cubes with short walls, sitting provides just enough 'privacy', in short order you get used to it. The only problem I have is no laydown space for drawings, etc. It did help expose those who don't pull their weight 'play' on the internet and iphones. It was funny some obvious deadwoods simply didn't care as if they were being paid to 'play', most of those folks are gone. You may want to invest in earbuds because the sound factor increases and can be rather annoying, especially when 'groups' gather to shot the sh_ _. You'll get used to it, if you love your work, like your job, just stay focused on your task at hand, and do what you're getting paid to do.
You are just saying that because you miss your Net Flix fix !
Get to work and shut up !
Yup, it s*cks.
