Remember verse seven tells us that God cannot be mocked.

If you are going to quote the Bible, then don't quote Karma, as the word and concept (reincarnation) is Hindu in origin and incompatible with what it taught in the New Testament. Also, there is no guarantee that evildoers will be punished in this life.

Karma is superstition and wishful thinking.

Anyone who bought a house in Sidney expecting Cabelas to always be there providing jobs should have known better. You just don't buy a house in a one company town.

Blame the family that let their majority interest slip away due to their greed...they sold us all out and they now count their billions

As was said before, the area is in total denial mode. It has been for the last 20 years.
The area truly believed that Cabela's would never leave and Sidney would ride the gravy train into the sunset.
Well the sun has set and there is no more gravy train, just harsh reality.

Since the council never took a position or never discussed the Cabelas situation i wonder if a discussion may have went on behind closed doors not to discuss the this situation. Although i guess the other answer the council just didn't think this topic was worthy of discussion at council meetings. I know at the time the stray cat problem, not picking up after your dog or the old cars parked around town was talking up a lot of council time.

The Sidney officials seemed like they were doing clean up work after that interview. They said they mentioned positive stuff in the interview, yet Fox never mentioned it.
They seemed surprised by that.

But yes, most outlets would have done the same.

All media outlets are biased, Presenting the news in a unbiased manner is ancient history, it is nothing but conjecture laced with personal and political bias.

As to the comment about Fox news leaving out any good news, what good news is there? Sidney still has not hit rock bottom yet. Until that day the local area including the government is in denial. That there will be a hero that will arrive on the horizon just in the nick of time to save the day.

So they are saying that Fox News left out the positive stuff? Did they expect anything else?

"come out", it's been out, a handful of greedy execs screwed everyone else. It's that simple.

KSID Reports...
SEGMENT ON FOX NEWS PROGRAM SHEDS LIGHT ON "CORRUPT" CABELA'S-BASS PRO MERGER

Think about the time when Walmart was trying to establish a distribution center in Sidney and instead started it at North Platte

It was the Sidney and Cabelas that did not want other employers to come to Sidney so that the wages are in check

Now fast forward couple of decades and Sidney is begging other employers to start shops

Sidney did not think of people but thought of Cabelas

Everything that you do has repercussions. It comes back to you one way or another.

You cannot escape the consequences of your actions. What you do comes back to you.

You will see the long-term effects of your actions.

KARMA - The total effect of a person's actions and conduct during the successive phases of the person's existence, regarded as determining the person's destiny, especially, in his next incarnation.

What goes around comes around.

Your actions all have consequences. Don't ever be fooled into thinking that your actions don't have consequences. Don't think you can get away with bad choices even if you don't seem to get caught. Remember verse seven tells us that God cannot be mocked. He sees it all.

You reap what you sow.

The only people saying it would never happen were the higher ups telling the employees that. Most knew what was happening and what would happen. Still took the other shareholders and the family to say yes to this guy.
