I'm thinking about six months before Dean Foods sold off shut down and buried six feet under.

Only news I've seen out of creditors meeting yesterday is news about shareholders crying and trying to get the court to approve them as a recognized group that can make recommendations. It's not like another group with a voice is this is going to get any more blood out of the Dean Foods turnip. Shareholders are at the bottom of the list to get paid and there isn't going to be enough money if/when everything is sold to make it anywhere close to the bottom.
Holy hell... the list of lawyers involved is just amazingly long (includes lawyers for both Dean Foods and who Dean Foods owes, but still). No way anything happens quickly as lawyers are gonna want to spend hours and hours on this to drive up their take:

So court date today is the first meeting of the creditors (people and companies Dean Foods owes money). All via phone. Not sure we'll get much that is newsworthy out of it, but we'll see.
Court date on the 20th should have some more meat.
What's got me thinking now is if I'm a potential buyer, why rush to buy anything? The longer I wait, the more money the banks that are keeping Dean Foods barely afloat bleed, the more desperate the banks become for a sale, thus driving the price down more.
Might get a better idea after the court date on Tuesday.
Although my guess is Dean Foods presents a plan to court that involves selling half the plants to DFA and the bond holder group and some other groups foppose that plan.
