Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is this for real????

I am retiring at the end of the year, they offered me a pay raise an a retention bonus. I told them too little too late. I had a great time filling out the survey. I have been in this business for 30 years and worked with the best and the brightest, none of them work for DXC.

DXC actually tried to keep somebody? Seems really unlikely to me...

To 12sD9dX5-nyx, I left earlier this year, and they've offered me a promotion (that they denied me for 3 years) and a 30% pay raise to come back.

After I was informed that a WFR was coming my way the so-called "position matching" BS was raised by my manager The unwritten words were "if an open position exists" but knowing that HR and management were tight fisted and all similar positions had been cancelled then there was no open position for me to be matched into.

What a waste of oxygen and electrons ... I rejected the opportunity to stay at DXC and stated my preference to leave with an almost tax-free payout (I am in Australia). So glad to have left DXC when I did as the company went to [email protected] soon afterwards.

What is stopping them from later firing you when more convenient for them, before your year is complete, especially in the U.S.? Promise you that retention bonus to keep you around, and never pay out (and demand you pay back the upfront 50%). An ethical company would not do that, DXC would.

Ah, ah, I'm leaving end of the month. They proposed me a pay raise and to choose the job I wish to practice !!!!! My N+2 told me "We will find a position matching your expectations"

Yes it is for real, I cannot work like this anymore. I have worked for some great start-ups and companies this place is toxic and the management is incompetent.

You are not the only one. I have direct knowledge of DXC offering retention bonus. They are even asking ex-DXCers to come back. Offer would have to be fantastic.

Why retire they’re going to give her a retention bonus take it. Then only work as much as you want to and if they don’t like it they could lay you off and you collect unemployment insurance. That’s my plan
