Horrible place to work.. I mostly worked with coworkers who were either a snake or a rat. Management people are scum and should have
never been promoted to managers. Layoffs all the time, everyone hates their job. So lucky to get out.
I agree, always laying off. Horrible way to live.

?“But if you are in the tech industry or if you have manufacturing skills, Colorado Springs is a good market in which to be seeking work right now,” Draper said.
Its obvious that Draper has no idea what type of manufacturing Microchip does. Semiconductor manufacturing is not like anything else left in this town. The processes to take a silicon wafer from start to finish involves many steps and various processes. From photo lithography to etching to furnace processing to reach the final product, which is a silicon wafer full of computer chips. I do not see much in this town that will require these skills. This is the last semiconductor fab in town and the loss of these jobs will not be easily replaced.
This use to be ATMEL. They always hire temps. Then lay them off. This is done every year. I use to work for electronics back in the from 1988 to 2000. But I got tired of the electronic companies laying off people and closing down. I needed a more stable job. So I learned a new trade to get another job.
