Amex has been like that. Employee friendly from outside but constantly keeping water on the boil inside. Surprised that the senior leadership is not aware that taking away psychological safety net results in drastic loss in productivity. It happens every year. Sometimes i think its to give leverage to leaders to throw out people in the name of a shake up and get their own people in. Amex can do much better.
