HappyEmployee- just give it time. You won't be happy much longer.
There have been a few layoffs for sure, but it wasn't the bloodbath that folks made it seem like it was going to be.
Of course they're not going to announce layoffs during a meeting. Give it time.
Technically the poster didn't lie... all he said was
Web for Enterprise... sold. Web for Enterprise is not longer part of web.com"
which is TRUE...
but it's the people who posted names of those being let go and those who made us think that the employees in that division were being let go that were wayyyyyy off base.
Shame on the liar! How dare you get people so upset like this! Karma will get you!
So it turns out that enterprise being sold was a good thing for the employees not something bad. I've been on edge for days for no reason.. smh. Make sure you guys update this post with the whole story.
We just had a meeting and whoever is talking like they know everything is wrong.
I want to know what troll is down voting these comments! Corporate s— up no doubt!
Prior CEO and executive leadership got their paydays, what they left behind is certainly no concern of theirs anymore, they’re probably continuing their dynasty with some other company that they can exploit.
MadAsHell enough time to train your replacements in India, monitor them till they can do the work. It is nothing personal it is just business.
Management is stalling as they are trying to get better severance packages and Siris board that approved these decisions are not in agreement.
You all knew The only reason Siris bought Web.com was to strip it to make profit not because of talent. As the board states, employees come and go we need to have knowledge trained not paid for.
Just post the list of those being terminated. It's not fair to the employees to be dragged through this day after day by leadership. Our lives are in limbo and we deserve to know what's going on. Very disrespectful to be treated this way, especially the folks who have given everything for this company for many years.
I’m intrigued how “AskHR” knows about the potential impact to a specific very high-value project. Yay, more resource constraints that will impact their ability to fulfill work on-time.
Denise has had meetings for weeks with management that know lots. Management had to hide out for these meetings. When the sh– hits no one will want to touch any project. Sad that they waste employees time and hopes like you have no value to them and they can train a homeless person to be a senior programmer in a day. If she does not hold a meeting today I will list those being terminated tomorrow.
Web.com getting shipped to India, peace bi peace, yall.
Exporting customer survice and quality in the name of savings. Oh well.
Siris sold Web for Enterprise. Denise will discus this during her Q1 meeting this coming week. Management knows but can’t say c-ap cause they know the 25 of you that are cut and if the state who, they can’t get Troon and other projects done.
I know of 6 people giving their 2 weeks next week cause web values saving toilet water over hard work employees. Sad, get rid of all the people with knowledge, let systems go the hell, hire cheap replacements, sell the company Siris is doing the same faster and more negative. They even had to put millions into Pega witch works just as good as network solutions hosting, and has to purchase another company for its cloned editor which has GoDady, Wix, HostGator and other copywriters. Web will be no more in 3 years it will implode itself. Siris will make sure of it.
Execs are on here trolling because there's some sound info on this thread. Read it all.
Daved brown is rolling over in his grave
Brothers & Sisters,
On this, at the foot of our reckoning, I tell ye not to be afraid but to be relieved. The judgement has come to pass that shall liberate suffering and pass ye on to eternity. I have toiled tirelessly to ensure passing is swift but will still please the Gods we have come to serve. The great overlord, Siris, has sent me on a pilgrimage this past year to find a proper offering for the sacrifice we shall make. For my efforts, I have been promised a golden parachute that will land me safely on the golden fields of Elysium. Although your bodies will burn beneath my feet, know that the joy on my face is not because you have passed but because the gods are finally pleased. Ye have served well and although you shall perish, the gods may finally rest.
Relax people. SIRIS bought us for a reason. It's time to relax and wait
What is to expect next? Bad news keep coming, is this ever going to stop?
Jacksonville626 ofc they “do not know” anything here. They are not saying a sh– until it’s public.
Well as normal no manager here in Jacksonville or HR person has a clue of anything. Classic bull sh–, they know, lie,act surprised, and think we are hicks. If they don’t say anything Friday, social media will boom this weekend and when customers leave Web. can continue fiction next week in the negative they give. I know fora fact that they plan on letting 65 more go end of March and have names already. No integrity in a company like this, they treat us employees like cattle going to slaughter.
Save your $$$$. More cuts after this deal
The only way this new company stayed a float was to buy another company for their editor which looks to be comprised of other companies editors, and move jobs to India and Philippines..
It's funny how incompetent our CEO and higher management is. Mass firing people without a thorough understanding of how essential their role is for the company. Having to extend their departure date because they realize they've made a mistake. We are losing literal departments of people with no replacement for them. And when web goes under, Siris will divest to another s—er, and their legacy will have been an updated logo.
Someone has some explaining to do. Today. Employees deserve answers.
What’s next? No bonuses for those employees
