Looks we have some people that obviously are against him people that have been here 10 years plus... the problem is they focus on the one with knowledge.... to sink us further. Sick.... author is one of those with nicknames...

@jfe - I'd love to know what your role is and what site you work out of. Even if your fairy tale example was true at all sites, I have friends at our site that had that same philosophy and ended up on the short list and were eliminated before they found something. The good news is that they then had all the time they wanted to look for a new job. I think I am an optimist (although some friends call me delusional), but I would like to return to some semblance of the company that I loved and have given a lot of years to.

We have unlimited vacation/sick time. Take the time you need and go find a new job. I know it's difficult especially for folks who have been here a long time, but it's time to start the process now. It will take you about 6-12 months to find the next gig depending on how aggressive and well you perform.

In every Corp management can create or modify the culture no matter what it was. Good can turn to bad and same the other way. The fact that seemingly nice guy are doing bad thinks is telling... and not a good needful thing.

Especially if the market is good, Don’t listen to the people that keep asking/telling you to quit and ask yourself what kind of people seeing what some have, why they keep asking you to leave... think who consistently has blamed Hon and others for their failures and misplaced decisions as directors and managers. Because remember... un exec can say one thing but he/she needs directors and managers to implement a sink the boat agenda... Then after realizing this, don’t quit because those are still in rezi and are posting on these boards and the silly agenda continues: “Kick the Honeywell” out

@huk I agree I think that much of it relates the way fear, anger, and confusion get mixed into into an anonymous environment like this, but we have no other place. Our management isn’t being honest with us or the public and different people react differently we need a place to vent but it’s illegal (and legally dangerous) to do it publicly. More than anything, I feel sad. Sad for the good hard working people who lost their jobs, the teams that provided high quality work decimated, the loss of hope and potential. The management was given an opportunity and they squandered it; in the end they don’t pay for their poor decisions we do. So I guess I feel angry too, but that doesn’t pay the bills, only finding a new job does. I feel for the OP. Walking though the workspaces which were once packed but now are empty. Watching random people cry and hug in the hallway. Learning the person you just talked to the night before is now gone. These are not going be something that ended last week and they will just get worse. Some people respond with sadness, some with anger and disgust. They need a space to be angry. The only people I have no patience for are the executives who mismanaged us into this mess.

I find it difficult to read these posts overall. Some are kind - some are clear - some seem to be sincere. But most are just sick and hurtful. Really causes some pause - and how we are treating eachother in general. Yes - we can disagree about things, but the aggression and mean speak is telling. No wonder we can't get together and make this work.

Do what you can... it’s just a job that pays the bill. Don’t quit because of those id–ts telling you to quit. And avoid the Austin crowd with their simplistic management ideas (and their below the floor engineering)

@bup - many of us still need our jobs and we don't have the freedom to just take off and go interview to find something new. Not sure about the OP, but I know that I am going back this week to some empty spaces that my good friends occupied until very recently before they were shown the door...through no fault of their own. Enjoy your week!!
