Pearson released revised preliminary results for fiscal 2019. Overall the corporation was down 6% and sales of courseware here in the U.S. were down 12%.
This represents loss of marketshare. Profs are either dropping Revel and MyLabs altogether or they are moving to competing homework software products.
The ironic thing is that these losses happened during the year when Pearson attempted to deny access to print and force everyone to adopt Revel only.
Pearson went on to report that they had achieved a 139 million pound savings through their "efficiency programme" and that these processes continue into 2020.
Great news, all around.
